Tim Holmes (B.Comm, CA, HBS AMP) is a Chartered Accountant with a strong foundation in financial reporting, control, compliance and governance developed initially at PwC followed by a number of roles in large listed corporates involved in mining, telecommunications and diversified industrials. He has a broad commercial and strategic skill set, with a key strength as a true partner to the CEO and the broader business.
Over the last 13 years, Tim has focused on contributing to organisations that are undergoing transformation including unlisted public companies and private equity owned businesses in the areas of health, biotechnology, dental and early childhood education. In roles across those sectors he has overseen sustained growth in profit from less than $1 million to $10 million, the doubling of EBITDA over a 12-month period and the doubling of sites over an 18-month period through a combination of organic growth, joint ventures, Greenfield site development and acquisition. He has extensive experience in negotiating and operationalising complex debt financing structures and was the CFO of celebrated Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, the first truly integrated specialist cancer facility of its kind in Australia, from its early concept stage through to an operating multi-story cancer care hospital. Through his career Tim has led, managed and mentored directly finance, business development, IT, HR, risk management, legal and procurement functions. Tim is currently the CFO of Beluga Capital and is a partner at AEL Consultants.
